Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss has died. He said his real estate, then sports, success all started with a $1,000 investment with a friend in a Santa Monica apartment building. Here’s a 2009 article with him discussing his business succession plans for his empire and his hope to keep it in the family. I wish his family the best in dealing with their grief and in continuing his legacy, and in working together in the family business.
